Jedidiah thinks the slowness is because I'm using photos I took with my iPhone as opposed to ones I imported through an iTunes sync. My iPhone is not a jailbreak, it's legit and I'm running the latest firmware.

I use MyMemory fair amount and have not had the performance issue you describe. I've also not seen issues with images being sucked in at the wrong orientation. Sounds like your phone is being wonky. Are you jailbroken and running other apps or background apps?

Note from the developer:

These issues seem to be isolated to the device being used for this review. I have sold alot of copies and have not heard of the complaints voiced in this review. I would like to know if others are having similar problems so I can fix them. For those on the fence about it look for MyMemoryFree which should be released in the app store any day now and try before you buy. I am posting updates for this app as fast as apple will review them so bugs will be fixed if they are brought to my attention. It is my goal to make this a fun and bug free game so feedback is very much appreciated.
