Is it wrong for a 30-something guy to be dressing up Japanese school girls on his iPhone? Um, DON’T ANSWER THAT!!
I installed this app out of morbid curiosity with an eye towards maybe featuring it as a WTF app next Wednesday, but truth is it’s actually really well done! Dress Up School Girls is a wardrobe mix & match app that provides a surprisingly wide assortment of stuff for making your little anime girl look all spiffy. There are skirts, leggings, shoes, shirts, jackets, several different backgrounds, and even interchangeable hair and faces.
Tapping an icon will make that category’s items magically appear next to the girl, and tapping it again will make them disappear unless they’re positioned on or partially over the girl’s body. Doing the actual dressing up is simple as clothing items kind of snap into place when applied to the right area. This method of wardrobe selection can make for a pretty messy screen, but one quick tap can clear everything except your cute anime girl and her new duds.
The artwork is top notch and Charmfaw did a really nice job on Dress Up. For $2.99 it could use some extra bells and whistles such as saving pics to the camera roll and posting to social networking sites, but this is still version 1.0 so maybe those things are coming in the future.
If I had a daughter I would totally buy this app for her, but since I don’t I’m just gonna delete it before people start looking at me funny!

this app states there may be some material inappropriate for those under 17 years of age. my 10 year old daughter would like to buy this app-what is objectionable? have you found anything?
