So You Think You Can Animate? If I were a Hollywood TV producer I’d totally make that show! Good thing I’m not.
Animation Creator looks like a pretty well-equipped iPhone animation tool, complete with onion skinning and frame rate settings and a set of drawing tools to get you started.
If you miss out on this round, fear not for there will be another… Red Software really hooked us up here!

IAR’s 6 Random Halloween Freebies
Michael (Admin) | Oct 9, 2009 Random Freebies
In a few weeks it’ll be time to dress up the kids like monsters and send them out into the streets to beg for candy! This is the first of a few rounds of untested but free Halloween iPhone apps to get everyone in the “spirit”. Haha check it out, I made a Halloween pun! I’m so clever.
Halloween Wordsearch by FinBlade: I reviewed this app almost a year ago and I’m glad to see it’s still around and still free. Good app!
Halloween PhotoCraft by EndLoop Systems: Dress up your pics with Halloween-themed stamps and whatnot.
Zombie Me by Portegno Apps: Kinda like Halloween PhotoCraft, but bigger and grosser!
Halloween Memory Match Game by ObjectGraph: Sounds pretty self-explanatory, right?!
reMovem Halloween Edition by Mundue.net: I reviewed reMovem (then called Jawbreaker) within the first week of starting this site and I wasn’t impressed… but that was a year ago! Maybe the game’s gotten better?
Whack-a-Halloween by Nguyen Minh Duc: In this game you whack Halloweens. Ok, actually you whack scarecrows n stuff… just shut up and start whacking!
- Halloween Wordsearch
- Halloween PhotoCraft
- Zombie Me
- Halloween Memory Match Game
- reMovem Halloween Edition
- Whack-a-Halloween
Oh hey btw, could you do me a favor and DIGG this? Shameless, I know! Thanks~

I’ve never seen a 3D shoot-em-up where your goal is to kill mosquitoes, but I guess there’s a first for everything!

Free Codes: mooch

If you’re constantly handing out money to your broke friends and relatives, you should probably go see an orthopedist to see if he can fit you with a spine! Until that happens, you might want to invest in an app like mooch… it keeps track of who’s borrowed what and how much all those bums owe you in total.

Free Codes: YOU R HERE
Michael (Admin) | Oct 8, 2009 Free iPhone Promo Codes, Navigation

Ok, before you dismiss this app as another run-of-the-mill GPS locator, think about the difference between what you see on a typical Google map vs. what you’ll find on one of those map boards you encounter before hitting the trail in a national park. Google maps are awesome, but they don’t always tell you where the ranger station is or the nearest crapper for that matter.
YOU R HERE’s purpose is to use the map board for your GPS instead of the default Google map! I haven’t tried this app so I don’t know how accurate it is, but it sounds like a cool idea in theory.

GlobeMaster
Michael (Admin) | Oct 8, 2009 Travel

Are you supposed to tip waitresses in China? What hand gesture will piss people off in Greece? What kinds of scams are tourists falling victim to these days?
Graceful, well-traveled folks probably don’t need a handheld device to tell them how to behave and get around in foreign lands, but I’m pretty sure the rest of us jackasses could use some help! GlobeMaster is basically a travel encyclopedia that covers local customs, laws, food, attractions, and a ton of other general knowledge stuff in 260+ countries and 1,400+ cities worldwide.
It’s an impressive collection of knowledge, and I think you’d have a hard time visiting a country NOT listed in this app. Even Vanuatu is listed! The locals there are probably still in therapy since Jeff Probst and his Survivor contestants ran wild all over their islands, but if you plan on dropping in GlobeMaster will tell you what you need to know.

App Sale: Marine Sharpshooter
Michael (Admin) | Oct 8, 2009 App Sale Alert, Games

Get this while it’s still free! Groove Media dropped the price for Marine Sharpshooter to zero on Saturday, and their sale prices never seem to last very long. Regular price on this game is $1.99.
Marine Sharpshooter puts you behind the scope of a really big gun as you try to pick off bad guys before they wack you good. It’s a sniper game with both story and arcade modes, and of course you also get to choose your weapon; some rifles are weak but can be fired fast, while others pack more punch but need more time before another shot can be fired.
Moving around and finding targets can be a little difficult, and one time when I was about to blow someone’s brains out the game mysteriously kicked me back to the beginning of the level I was on, but this is still a high quality game with great graphics and pretty decent gameplay. I’d probably be willing to pay $2 for it, and for nothing it’s a no-brainer if you enjoy murdering people!

There are billions of mapping apps that let you track a course, but this one also lets you add notes, photos, share the path with others, and go searching for paths that others have saved. Looks pretty cool if this is what you’re into!

WTF: Misfortune Cookie
Michael (Admin) | Oct 7, 2009 Entertainment, WTF?!

Real-life fortune cookies served with the check at Chinese restaurants are almost always a disappointment, and iPhone apps that try to deliver the same crappy wisdom suck even worse, so why not funny it up a bit?
Veloxus has the right idea with Misfortune Cookie… this app offers “normal” fortunes, and you can turn on “bad fortunes” in Settings, plus you can also append “…in bed”! Kinda funny. It would be way funnier if you could write your own fortunes to do some serious pranking, but Misfortune Cookie’s current set of mildly amusing barbs is already way more entertaining than all the other fortune cookie apps that try to play it straight.

- Wow, these fortunes are incredibly accurate!
- You can still get nice fortunes with a two-finger tap
