Hi Michael:

Just a quick note to let you know that version 1.1 went live last week. It has a number of improvements, including the mapping of the Paris landmarks.

Thanks!

LOL, I just now spotted the left-side icon in the Google Maps marker that shows street-level pics... and I'm making this discovery after having my iPhone for nearly 18 months

Whoa, never occurred to me that those map markers can have more than one icon! Sorry I didn't catch that, but at least now you know that dummies like me can miss stuff like that :P

Hi Michael:

Thanks for the great post on mPassport Paris.

I did want to clarify one thing you stated, and it shows that we might need to make this feature a bit more obvious to users. Whenever the app displays a map, the user can click on the pushpin to see the doctor, dentist, hospital or pharmacy name. That "flag" has two icons -- the one on the right links back to the detailed profile of the item, and the other on the left, denoted by a little walking figure, takes the user to Google Maps where walking or driving directions can be found.

Thanks especially for the feedback on the recents and saved sections; those changes will definitely go in the next update.
