Hey, got an iPad?
Michael (Admin) | Apr 5, 2010 Website Stuff
Then take one of these codes!
I used to post a ton of free codes for iPhone apps, then I moved them to this site, and someone just submitted some codes for an iPad-only app called Paints. If more iPad codes start coming in I’ll start posting them on iPhone Promo Codes.net (or possibly on an iPad-only site), but it’s all just so new that I’m posting these right here.
Since I’m way too poor to buy an iPad there’s no way I can try this app myself, but you can probably guess what it’s for… painting! And hopefully painting on an iPad is way easier than it is on an iPhone.
Codes are listed below. Please use one ONLY IF YOU HAVE AN iPAD!!
Just for the record

iPhone App Reviews.net does not charge for reviews. We used to offer an unsolicited paid option called “POV” (meaning that we weren’t actively fishing for paying developers) but that has been discontinued.
The reason I’m bringing this up is that I recently got this email from an apparently angry spectator:
—–Original Message—–
Subject: iPhone App Reviews: ThanksHow I found iPhone App Reviews:

…for demonstrating the fastest way to drop to absolute zero credibility.
The website featured in that “shakedown” is NOT the one you’re looking at right now. See, this website is called iPhone App Reviews.net… that’s “reviews” plural, as in more than one, and it’s .net not .com, and we don’t use “the” in our URL. I know a lot of iPhone website names sound similar, but if you ever read about an iPhone app review website charging for reviews it won’t be us.
“Thanks”,
Michael
P.S. Kudos to Sandwich Dynamics on the hilarious reply to the shakedown!
Happy 2010!

It’s a new year and iPhone App Reviews is makin’ some changes! With a gaggle of new writers on the team there will be tons of app reviews coming your way and those fun but pesky free codes (which I know a lot of you love) will be moving to a different website which will most likely be called iPhonePromoCodes.net. That site doesn’t exist yet, but it will soon.
Happy New Year and may your next 12 months be spectacular!
IAR needs writers!!
Michael (Admin) | Dec 29, 2009 Website Stuff
Every once in a while I put out a call for new writers, and that call has never been more important than right now!
If you’ve been around this site for long enough you know that it’s shifted from being centered around app reviews to being a neverending source of free promo codes. WELL… things are changing in 2010. The codes will still be coming, but they’ll be coming from a new website (domain name tba) while I work on getting IAR back to its app-reviewing roots.
Another change is that IAR writers who meet certain requirements will be now be paid actual dollars instead of just with admiration and free apps!
If you’re a really good writer who loves writing and your iPhone/iPod Touch, please send in a writing sample for consideration.
Read ‘em & weep suckas!!!!

I suck at a lot of things, but apparently Free the Fan‘s weekly NFL salary cap game isn’t one of them!
A couple months ago I reviewed Quick Picks Fantasy GM and thought it was a really cool idea… you select a new NFL team roster every week but you also have to stay within a $25 million salary cap. The best players cost $5 million, the crappiest are only $1 million, and you have to fill all eight roster roster spots. Just like in regular fantasy football, stat points are awarded as your guys make plays in the real world, and each week the top three scorers are rewarded with cash or Overstock.com prizes, and there’s also a season-long competition.
In week 8 of the NFL season (two weeks ago) I finished 2nd overall for the week and that earned me $75 to spend at Overstock.com. THEN… in week 9, I finished first!! First place for the week gets you $200 cash.

Happy Columbus Day
Michael (Admin) | Oct 12, 2009 Website Stuff
For those outside the U.S., today is Columbus Day, the day Americans celebrate some dude who “discovered” a place where a bunch of people were already living.
Hey, at least we get the day off work!
Be on the lookout for more free promo codes!
Michael (Admin) | Sep 25, 2009 Website Stuff
It recently occurred to me that there are a LOT of promo codes that come through IAR’s inbox but never see the light of day. I know developers want to get reviewed, and we want to review them, but if their number never gets called can’t they at least hand out free apps to IAR’s readers if they want to?
The answer to that question used to be mostly no, but that’s changed! We’ll still be reviewing stuff and doing Q&F and WTF and Random Freebies and all that, and now we’re adding in free codes for apps that are even new to us. It helps the developer, it helps you, it helps us, everybody wins so let’s all hold hands and sing Kumbaya!
So keep your eyes open for free codes that might come without a review… they might be great, they might be terrible, but dammit they’re free and free stuff is awesome!
Your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter
Michael (Admin) | Aug 12, 2009 Website Stuff
In case you hadn’t noticed, there’s now a Newsletter! link in the navigation tabs at the top of the screen… a few days ago I sent my very first weekly newsletter to IAR’s writers and it was a snapshot of about 15 apps that look promising and are waiting in our review queue this very moment.
Our writers are free to review whatever they want and last month we got 450 review requests, so I’m trying to provide some help in finding all the gems hidden in the growing junkyard that is the App Store. Keep in mind that there’s no guarantee the apps in the newsletter will get reviewed, but on the surface they look cool enough to be worth talking about.
So then I got to thinking that maybe y’all out there in the public iPhone world would like my stupid newsletter, too. Fear not, I won’t do anything evil with your email address and you can unsubscribe the moment you get sick of it so just sign up! Maybe you’ll like it?
