Rack Stare – The Sex Game (Free) by Venevi

Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad

Rack Stare is currently #21 in the Top 25 Free section in the App Store

With all the great but unknown apps out there, part of me wants to weep for humanity when apps like Rack Stare make it into the coveted Top 25 list.

The idea is pretty unique in that you’re interacting with actual video clips which is exactly why I decided to give this “game” a try, but come on! I adore nice cleavage as much as the next guy, but there’s gotta be a better use for this technology than making a “geek” steal glances at the hot blonde sitting next to him.

*Warning* Youngsters and Faint of Heart go ahead and skip this one.

The app is rated 17+ for infrequent mild alcohol, tobacco, drug use or references. Frequent/Intense profanity or crude humor. Frequent/intense mature/suggestive themes. If that alone didn’t cause you to rush over and purchase the app, read on.

Kevin Smith: Director, Actor, Comedian, Podcaster, Author and if that wasn’t enough you can now add app to that list. Developers Denvog created the all access pass for everything Kevin Smith. If Kevin Smith was involved with something you can be sure it’s available here. This feature rich application is a must have for all the Smith fans out there, and if you’re not that familiar with Smith this is a great way to get acquainted with his work.

WTF: Boob Party

With so many app requests languishing in my inbox I’m a little reluctant to spend time on an app like Boob Party, but I just think it’s funny that (a) there’s an app called Boob Party, and (b) searching iTunes for “boobs” now yields over 100 sure-to-be-disappointing results that want to be “titillating” but are just kind of… eh.

Because Apple has never, and will never, allow nudity or porn in the App Store, apps like Boob Party pretty much always amount to the same thing which is mostly-tame photos and/or videos of scantily clad girls. I like scantily clad girls as much as the next guy but the reality is that there’s nothing these apps can show me that I haven’t already seen a billion times in the dark reaches of the interwebs. Guys who aren’t huge pervs like me might get more of a “rise” out of Boob Party than I did but, again, this kind of content is limited to the point where if you’ve seen one boob app you truly have seen them all.

Pin-Up Hunt

I actually intended to review Pin-Up Hunt a while ago, but when Pin-Up got lost in Apple’s black hole review process I wound up reviewing Sexy FindIT instead. Both are ”spot the difference” games that force you to stare intently at scantily clad ladies, and while they’re both more or less the same thing they’re also distinctly different in style.

It’s pretty easy to sum up the difference between the two apps: Pin-Up Hunt is way less sleazy! I’m not saying that Sexy FindIT is X-rated or super nasty (sorry, it’s not), but there’s a big difference between pin-ups and bikini models. The pin-ups in Lush Entertainment’s app seem to be split between classic pin-up artwork and the more modern, tattooed version of today’s pin-up models. Personally I prefer the artwork, but if you’re more into the tattooed 21st century version of Jayne Mansfield then this app’s got what you want.

Q&F: Amp Up Before Your Score

User rating: (1 votes, average: 3.00 out of 5)

This is the app that, over the past week, has been written about over and over and over again… and now Pepsi is apologizing for it.

Apologizing is definitely the right move from a PR standpoint, but I’m just gonna come out and say what everyone else is apparently afraid to… AMP UP BEFORE YOUR SCORE IS FUNNY! Sorry ladies, I know it probably pisses off some of you, but for the rest who can see this app for the joke that it’s clearly intended to be, it’s pretty hilarious.

AMP UP Before Your Score is a very tongue-in-cheek guide to “scoring” with 24 different types of women who range from Aspiring Actress to Indie Girl to Trouble and everything in between. For each type there are numerous ways of engaging the lady that include pickup lines and various conversation starters that are customized for each personality. If you’re talking to Goth Girl, Before Your Score provides a list of vampires and goth bands. If you’re talking to Political Girl, the app launches an in-app browser and loads Obama’s Twitter account and some recent political news items. Pepsi went the distance here and actually put some thought into each content item and the result, although unfortunate for feminism, is an app that’s packed with some hysterically crude humor.

Sexy FindIT

I liked ESPN Cameraman (now called ESPN Zoom) when I reviewed it last year, but I think I’d rather stare intently at scantily clad ladies than a bunch of sweaty dudes or even cute, cuddly animals. Granet did a really good job on this semi-naughty entry in the spot-the-difference genre and, although it lacks the overall fanciness of ESPN’s app, it does some other things really well.

If you’re new to this kind of game, it’s that thing where you find what’s changed between two photos that look nearly identical. The thing that separates Sexy FindIT from similar games is that it allows you to zoom in on the photos! Whether this function was created to make the game more playable or to give lonely guys a stiffy is debatable, but it definitely does add to the gameplay and reduces some of the frustration of trying to figure out how booby #1 is different from booby #2.

Offender Locator vs. WatchOut! For Offenders

User rating: (3 votes, average: 3.33 out of 5)

Don’t you just love App Store icons? Here we have two apps that do the same exact thing, and one of them is all serious and a little creepy while the other is satanic and kind of funny. Even though Offender Locator and WatchOut! For Offenders serve the same purpose, they each do so in their own way and their own style.

WatchOut! For Offenders is obviously meant to be a little satirical and probably aimed at girls who might be wondering if their new beau is also a child molester. The devil theme continues in the app with map markers sporting devil horns and retro-horror typefaces sprinkled here and there, and it all serves as a nice little reminder of the kind of nightmare you could be in for if you start dating a convicted rapist. As for Offender Locator, to say that it has its own style is somewhat true, however for the most part it’s pretty plain jane.

But you’re not really looking at these apps for their art design, right? You wanna know which one does it right, which one delivers good info? Well, ONE of them is more accurate than the other…

Double Feature: Let’Em Ride Pro and Baccarat Pro

Allow me to quote myself:

“[21 Pro] is still one of the best casino games I’ve ever played on the iPhone… and I’ve played a few. Maybe it would be more accurate to say it’s the best casino series I’ve ever played; 3 Card Pro and 4 Card Pro are built on the very same foundation as 21 Pro”

Guess what else is built on the same foundation? Yep, Avalinx has built a rock-solid foundation for their casino franchise and Let’Em Ride and Baccarat are two more installments in the series. These are the kinds of games you see in casinos but may be too much of a wuss to try and, since I’ve raved about all of Avalinx’s casino games to date, the thing I want to stress this time around is what awesome learning tools these games are.

The payouts might be a little different in these versions, but the gameplay is right on… as usual… and if you’re planning to go to Vegas this weekend like I am then I’d really recommend trying your luck (or lack thereof) on these games while you “get the hang of it” before perching yourself at an actual table where getting cleaned out is a lot more painful than tapping the restart game button.

Double Feature: 3 Card & 4 Card Pro

User rating: (1 votes, average: 2.00 out of 5)

364 days ago I reviewed Avalinx’s masterpiece 21 Pro: Blackjack and even now, a year later, it’s still one of the best casino games I’ve ever played on the iPhone… and I’ve played a few. Maybe it would be more accurate to say it’s the best casino series I’ve ever played; 3 Card Pro and 4 Card Pro are built on the very same foundation as 21 Pro, and they both come with the same slick graphics and smooth gameplay that the blackjack game features.

Some of you are probably wondering what the hell happened to good old 5 CARD poker like they play on TV, but if you play either of these games enough you’ll see why they’re so popular at casinos. 3 Card is vastly different from 4 Card, but both are easy to learn, fun to play, hard to win, and like most casino games, they can get pretty addictive even when you’re not playing for real money.

WTF: iWakeupGirls

User rating: (3 votes, average: 4.00 out of 5)

Waking up to a beeping alarm clock sucks. That’s why there are apps that let you wake up to your music instead, or perhaps some internet radio from around the world. That’s great and all, but pathetic losers like me who wake up alone every day with morning wood demand more!!

iWakeupGirls by Branded Research is a goofy collection of really short video clips that start looping when the app’s built-in alarm goes off. Instead of being jolted out of dreamland by your usual means, you get your choice of a bunch of hot girls with one-liner wake up phrases that range from slutty “good mornings” to other things that are more obscure or just plain weird. Here’s a quick sampling of some of the more bizarre phrases you’ll hear from the ladies of iWakeupGirls:

Coffee is for closers, now you better get with the program!
Gym… bar… gym… bar…?
Hey, this is a corporate environment!
You can be an angel, or you can be a devil.
Urgent weather bulletin, tornado coming through! ( and the girl starts spinning)

Um… huh? I sort of get the corporate stuff (of which there’s plenty), but some of these other phrases… eh whatever! If you’re truly waking up, it doesn’t really matter what what the girls are babbling about as long as you can hear it in your sleep.

WTF: Flexible Girls

User rating: (4 votes, average: 3.75 out of 5)

If you’re scanning iPhone App Reviews.net for reviews of “sexy girl” apps, you won’t find many! I’ve tried a couple and they’re all so… BLAH. Don’t get me wrong, I love nearly-naked ladies as much as the next horndog, but seriously… you can stare at all the boobies you want in Safari by searching Google Images or a similar service.

Something that’s a little harder to come by is pics of girls who are scantily clad AND bending their bodies in some very unnatural and scary-looking poses. And thus Eighth Art brings you Flexible Girls! It’s Sexy Girl app meets Freak Show and, even if you’re completely uninterested in looking at ladies, it’s kind of hard to look away from these very fetishy pics.
