Chow Thanksgiving Dinner Coach (Free) by CBS Interactive

For all you folks in the U.S. of A., Turkey Day is about a week away! I seriously didn’t try to make that rhyme on purpose, but it totally did.

So you think you can cook up a Thanksgiving feast? No? But your family expects you to do it anyway? Chow Thanksgiving Dinner Coach might save your holiday! Most “recipe” apps do nothing but regurgitate what you’d find in two seconds of Googling, but Chow goes much further by attempting to hold your hand through the entire process of cooking up a predetermined yet very “traditional” Thanksgiving menu that includes turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, gravy, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and they also throw in some brandy-apple punch!

Thanksgiving Jokes is just one of the many flashcard sets in Dustin Kirk’s Stacks Pro.

Stacks Pro costs money, but this set of unbelievably corny jokes is free and could come in handy if your Thanksgiving dinner conversation takes a turn for the worse or if you just need to keep some young ‘uns entertained.

The Stacks interface is really nice… swipe up or down to see the other side of the card, and swipe left or right to view a different card. If you’re gonna be looking at flashcards on your iPhone, this is the way to do it!

50 very kid-friendly jokes, all of which will just make you roll your eyes, are included.

I’ve been slacking on the random freebies the past few weeks, but today I’m all over it! If you’re in the U.S., next week is Thanksgiving which means eating turkey, having awkward conversations with relatives you don’t really like, and most importantly… a long weekend! Hooray for holidays.

Jirbo’s Turkey Hunt is Ghost Pop in disguise. Instead of tapping on ghosts like you did in their Halloween game, you’re tapping turkeys. Both games are completely identical but with different themes.

Yawn.

Still, if you need something to keep the kids out of your hair while you’re trying to cook an actual bird then it couldn’t hurt to download it. Keep your eyes peeled for the inevitable Santa Pop or Rudolph Hunt or whatever the hell they’re gonna call the Christmas version of this game.
