Home Sweet Home

I’m a single guy who vacuums once a year and survives mainly on beer and pizza, so it’s no wonder that interior design isn’t my thing… not in real life, anyway. Still, even for me, Home Sweet Home is a pretty fun game that combines a fairly relaxed version of the time management genre with problem solving and creativity as you try to furnish rooms that meet the needs of some really weird clients.
Big Blue Bubble’s port of this PC franchise turns you into an interior designer trying to meet the needs of clients whose tastes and requirements are all over the place, and apparently being clear about their needs ain’t how they roll. Each client’s demands are conveyed through increasingly cryptic riddles, and it’s up to you to figure out just what the hell it is that they want.

Sushi Chain
Michael (Admin) | Nov 4, 2009 Games

The “time management” genre of games doesn’t sound all that sexy, but these games can be surprisingly fun. Sally’s Spa is great, and Sushi Chain is kind of similar but it’s obviously in a much different setting.
Sushi Chain has you running a sushi bar where customers are really short on patience and the further you get the more kinds of sushi you have to make. Unlike Sally’s Spa you’re not sprinting from station to station; instead, the challenge here is being able to remember all the recipes for the growing number of sushi dishes you have to prepare, and you also have to keep yourself stocked with all the ingredients such as seaweed (nori), octopus (tako), rice, salmon, and roe.

Sally’s Spa

Regular price is $4.99
I AM NOT A MAN! I don’t chug beer, I don’t light my farts, and I don’t scratch myself in full view of the entire world… at least not while I’m frantically giving manicures and facials in this strangely addicting casual game called Sally’s Spa.
As Sally, your job is to pull your friend’s struggling spa business out of the crapper and build it into a little empire, and to do this you need to be in 20 places at once as customers make their way through the various treatment stations the spa offers. Games Cafe, Inc. categorizes Sally’s Spa as a “time management” game which is a lot more fun than it sounds, but this game is also about knowing your customers, just like a real business. Some customers are big tippers who are short on patience, and the longer they have to wait for attention the smaller their tip gets. Others are lousy tippers who don’t mind waiting, and remembering who’s who can get a little nerve-wracking when you’ve got a full house.
